WHY ORGANIC COTTON CERTIFIED YARN?
We want to support sustainability and we truly believe sustainable fashion can contribute to protect the environment and our planet. We use 100% organically grown yarns, sourced from Italian companies that certify every step of the production process.
This garment is made with a certified yarn :
GOTS certified yarns
The Global Organic Textile Standard is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent third-party certification of the entire textile supply chain.
BCI Better Cotton Initiative
We support BCI, Better Cotton Initiative, a global not-for-profit organisation and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world. The initiative exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it and better for the environment it grows in.
BCI certified producers and farmers minimise the harmful impact of crop protection practices, promote water stewardship, care for the health of the soil, enhance biodiversity, preserve fibre quality and promote decent work conditions.
TF – Traceability & Fashion
is a voluntary system managed by Unionfiliere and promoted by Unioncamere and Italy’s Chambers of Commerce. Its objective is to certify and increase the value of the products of the “made in Italy” supply chains.
Cotton for Life
Cotton for Life is a programme aimed at promoting a fully transparent, eco-friendly and socially responsible cotton value chain. It works to develop and apply environmental protocols to sustain Egyptian cotton (renowned in the world for its top quality), starting from its cultivation right up to the end product. This is achieved through educational training on how to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce the use of harmful chemicals and use advanced technological methods and modern textile machinery. The cotton produced is thus ethical, sustainable and organic.
